Scholarships For Higher Education: September 2018

Doodle 4 Google, a competition started by Google, is a yearly affair wherein students of class 1 to 10 are invited to showcase their creativity by doodling on a given theme and have it featured on www.google.co.in. Google has announced the Doodle 4 Google competition for the year 2018 as well. The theme for 2018 is ‘What Inspires Me?’ School students can use any material from crayons to clay to create the story or thought that inspires them. The winners get a chance to win a scholarship of up to INR 5 Lakh and tech packages for schools.

Eligibility :

1. Class 1 to 10. Students are eligible for this Doodle 4 Google contest.

National Winner :

The National Winner will get his/her doodle showcased on www.google.co.in. He or she will also receive:

1. An INR 500,000 college scholarship

2. An INR 200,000 Technology package for their school

3. Certificate / Trophy of achievement

4. A trip to Google India Office

5. Googley Swag

Group Winners

The four Group Winners, who do not become the National Winner, will have their doodles featured on the Doodle 4 Google gallery. Each Group Winner will receive:

1. Trophy/Medal of recognition

2. Certificate of achievement

3. A trip to Google India Office

4. Googley Swag

National Finalists

All National finalists will have their doodles featured on the Doodle 4 Google gallery, and will receive:

1. Certificate of achievement

2. Googley Swag

Artistic merit:
1. Based on artistic skill
Creativity:
1. Representation of the contest theme, use of the letters in the Google logo, and the unique approach to the doodle
Theme communication:
1. How well the contest theme is expressed in both the artwork and the written statement

Doodles will be grouped and judged by the following 5 class groups:

Class 1-2
Class 3-4
Class 5-6
Class 7-8
Class 9-10

Competition levels

National Finalists
The Guest Judges and Google Doodlers will select the 4 best doodles from each of the groups as the national finalists. These 20 finalists will be displayed in an online gallery on the Doodle 4 Google website.

Five Group Winners
For a period of 14 days prior from 23rd October 2018 to 5th November 2018, the Indian public will vote for their favorite doodle from these 20 national finalists. These votes will help determine the Group Winners.

One National Winner
A cumulative score based on public voting, scores by guest judges and panel of Google executives will choose one of the five group winners and announce the National Winner on 14th November 2018.

Process of Applying

We're excited to see some amazing doodles this year. Students can work with any materials they want, but all doodles must be entered using the entry form. Parents and teachers can mail us the completed entry form or submit it online as a .png, or .jpg. The contest is open for entries until Oct 6, 2018 10:00pm Indian Standard Time (IST), so here's some information to help you get started:

Download or print the entry form.
Doodle: Artists create their doodles using any materials they want.
Write:
1. Doodle description - Write an artist statement to tell us a bit more about what you have drawn and how it represents something that inspires you.
2. Fill out the rest of the required information and sign the entry form.
Submit:
1. Enter the contest.
2. Entry form doodles: If the doodle is created directly on our entry form, you can either upload them to our site as a .jpg or .png (visit the enter tab) or mail them in (address listed on the enter tab).
3. Detached doodles: If the doodle wasn't created directly on our entry form, take a high res digital photo or scan of the doodle in good lighting and combine it with the entry form.

Disqualifications

Doodles that are not original works and doodles that contain copyrighted or trademarked images and logos will be disqualified. Examples of this would be the Nike “swoosh” or popular characters from shows, movies and books.
Only one application per student. Only the first doodle entered for each student will be considered, and any additional doodles will be disqualified.

Shriram Automall Education Scholarship Program 2018 is an activity by the Shriram Automall India Limited (SAMIL) to help the training of poor people of truck drivers and transporters. The program means to enable such understudies to seek after their instruction till class 12 with the assistance of monetary guide. Thusly, the association needs to offer back to the transporter crew.

Eligibility :

1. Children of drivers of commercial vehicles or small transporters.

2. 8 to 12 class students are eligible.

3. students having more than 60% marks

4. student parents do not receive a monthly income of more than INR 25,000.

Scholarship Benefits: The selected students for this scholarship will be received an amount of INR 3000 per annum till class 10 and then INR 3500 per annum till class 12.

2. Bonafide certificate.

3. Driving license of the parent.

4. Vehicle RC book copy.

5. Ration card or Aadhaar card of the parent

Terms and Conditions :

1. The parent driving the commercial vehicle or small transporter should have owned the vehicle for at least a year.

2. The scholarship will be paid by the way of a crossed account payee cheque in favor of the child.

3. The applicant selected for the scholarship should not be receiving any other scholarship.
